5 Oct

Im really excited to be heading back out to the Zillertal valley to go ride the Hintertux glacier with the GB Freestyle Team in a couple of weeks. Im flying out on the 19th and should hopefully get 5 days riding the Betterpark and get some new tricks down.

This will be my first trip of the season so im hoping to get off to a good start! Il keep updates coming when im out there and hopefully get some footage and pics done aswell

Tamworth and Braehead

29 Sep

On Wednesday I headed down to Tamworth Snowdome with TSA for our annual training day. This involves time riding at the dome and then a talk from Jez Sladen…the boss! I had a rad time riding with the TSA guys (as usual) and the day was super fun.

I got home Friday morning and then headed down to Braehead on Friday afternoon to ride at Snow Factor with the Trinders. The park was fun and we were all throwing down. Me and Jamie managed to fit in a little bit of filming aswell so look out for an edit coming soon!

Skid Marks

16 Sep

Yesterday I headed over to Aberdeen with Jamie for the Skid Marks rail comp. It was only my second comp on drymat so I was a bit dubious as to how I would ride but I figured it out quick enough.

The set up was fun with a good mix of rails and boxes and everyone was throwing down.

I felt I was riding well and the judges thought so too as I picked up 3rd place in the 16+ category.

All in, I had a really good day and cant wait till the next event!

No Bella

6 Sep

So I found out a couple days ago that the first Lowlander comp due to take place at Bellahousten on Saturday has been cancelled.

This would have been the first stop in the Scottish Champs series so sucks its had to be cancelled.

On a plus though, I will be heading to Aberdeen on the 15th for the Skid Marks rail comp. Its shaping up to be a rad comp and cant wait to head over with Jamie and have a blast!

Plans for winter

28 Aug

So im starting to get things together for the start of this coming season which im really excited about.

Iv got my first comp on the 8th Sept at Bellahousten in Glasgow. Its the first event on the Scottish Champ tour and im hoping for a good start to those events. After that iv then got the Scottish Dryslope Champs at Bearsden and another Scottish Champ stop at Aberdeen.

I am also hoping to get another invite to the Edinburgh Invitationals again. This is an invite only rail event on Princes St in Edinburgh and is a lot of fun.

Alongside this I am going to be taking part in training with the GB team again and cant wait to get back out with them!

Heres the finished edit from Snow Factor. It’s always good to go down and ride especially when the parks have been so good over summer – massive props to the guys on Park Crew for making sick parks week on week!

Check the video out and I hope you enjoy it

Check a brother out!

15 Aug

My good friend Matt McCormick has just finished off his new website and it’s well worth a look. It’s packed full of snowboard goodness and rad things associated with one of the UK’s best riders right now!

Everyone should go and check it out and let him know how good it’s looking!

Update

26 Jul

Not updated here in a while so heres a little info on what I’ve been up to lately.

In May I was in Hintertux with TSA for their board test. This involved doing video reviews for their website and writing reviews for the catalogue. It was a really fun week riding with other TSA team riders such as Matt Higson, Jonny Russell and Doug Johnston. The park set up was amazing as usual for Hintertux and I had a blast.

The day after I got home from Tux I had the Scottish Indoor Champs at Braehead. The park was one of the best I’ve seen at the dome and was so much fun to ride. My runs didnt quite go to plan but I still managed to place 5th which I was happy with.
Since then its been Friday sessions doing filming (watch this space) and lots of skating when the weathers been good….just hoping.for some more sun so I can get some more done!
